Mrs. Arrilla Patterson passed away at her home Tuesday night at 9:30, after a lingering illness of heart disease. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Thursday afternoon at 2:30. She is survived by one daughter, Nellie Patterson. Obituary next week.

Orilla Patterson was born in Lockport, New York, October 26, 1846, and died at her home in Granby April 25, 1934, at the age (of) 87 years. She removed to Branch county, Michigan with her parents* when a young child. She was united in marriage to J. B. Patterson in Flushing, Mich., December 25, 1866. To this union two daughters were born. With her husband and daughters she came to Stone Prairie in Barry county, Mo., in 1885, living the remaining part of her life in Barry and Newton counties. Mrs. Patterson and her daughter, Nellie, came to Granby to make their home in 1907. She had lived a faithful Christian life for many years, and was a loving mother and a good neighbor and friend to those who knew her. Funeral services were held at the Christian church by the Rev. Luther Carlin, pastor of the Pierce City Baptist church. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her daughter, Nellie, and a host of friends who extend sympathy to the bereaved daughter. Burial was in Granby cemetery.

Orilla Patterson & Nellie Patterson were in the 1900 MO Census in Granby Newton County. Orilla & Nellie were still both living in Newton County, Missouri, in 1930.
