Buttery (Buttry) Pension For His Orphan Children

Soldier's name was William A Buttery of the 29th Illinois, Company G.  The pensioners were names as Margaret E. Buttery and James M. Buttery, the soldier's minor children.  The children lived in Roland [White County] Illinois.  Their mother, the former Sarah Jane McKenzie, married Mr. Buttery in Hamilton County, Illinois, on 14 August 1850.  Sarah Buttery died in White County on 20 November 1857.

The soldier died in January of 1862 at Mound City of Remittent fever.

My ancestress, Eleanor E. Roark, married 3rd, James V. McKenzie, who was the grandfather of the Buttry (Buttery) minor children.
