The Rush-Bagot Treaty

I first found the names Rush and Bagot in the British Military and Naval Records (RG 8, C Series), on Microform: c-3171, online at the Library and Archives Canada, in a document from the Department of State dated April 29, 1817:

The Rush-Bagot Treaty was signed by President Monroe on April 20, 1817 and ratified by Congress on April 28, 1818.
