An obituary for Donald Beathon can be found here. Additional details in the obit include his marriage to Miss Essie Anna D. Johnston in Rock Island, Illinois, on October 6, 1864. He went to New York alone at age 13 and then onto Illinois. He opened a business in Traverse City, Michigan, and later moved to Larned, Kansas and then to Foote (now Gray Co.). At his death, his son Norman lived in Black Lake, Idaho.
