Paraphrasing information from the Combs Family (1658-1930):
...about 1783, Arabella (Burton) Anderson, in an extended family caravan, traveled from Virginia (probably Amelia County, though there are Chesterfield County roots) to Kentucky.
Samuel Burton (illegitimate son of John Burton and father of Arabella) and Arabella were acknowledged in John Burton's Will as son and granddaughter, respectively. In the Will of John Burton's wife, Elizabeth (Fowler) Burton,...she first listed her grandchildren, identified as such. Then in a separate paragraph she left a bed to Arabella.
