The case of Magdalena (Lany) Fix, widow of Andrew Fix, a Civil War veteran of Co. H, 149th Ohio, was found in Case Files of Approved Pension Applications of Widows and Other Dependents of Civil War Veterans, ca. 1861 - ca. 1910. Andrew was a POW held in Salisbury, North Carolina, and died there on January 13, 1865. In June of 1867, Mrs. Fix was a resident of Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.
