Rice Cemetery
Guess where some of my Rices are buried -- Rice Cemetery in Cottage Township, Saline County, Illinois!
Captain James A. Rice is found at FindAGrave as being buried in Rice Cemetery. His grave is there; we visited this cemetery several years ago. [Note: His mother is listed as Elizabeth Lee on the record; I believe his mother was Ann (Hinds) Rice, daughter of William Hinds and Elizabeth Acklin].
Rice Cemetery, NE 1/4 NW 1/4, Section 7, T 9 S R 7 E. Take US Route 45 North from Harrisburg. Turn east on gravel road just north of the first bridge and before reaching Muddy Road go east about 1 3/4 miles. The cemetery is located on the north side of the road on the side of a fairly large hill and covers about two acres.

Hello, I see that you have a lot of information on different Acklin lines, I wonder if you have information on the Acklin line that comes from Campbell County KY. My ancestor is Joseph Acklin b. 20 May 1774, 1st appearance 1804 marriage Campbell CO KY. I ask because I have come across your Christopher and Samuel a few times in my research. Also, I believe Samuel had a son named Arthur, he's not of my line, but the name Arthur does reappear in my line a few times. Thanks for any info you might have! nicole_rooney@yahoo.com
