Thank you for posting this. Johnny Appleseed is my 2nd cousin 5 generations removed. His mother was a Simonds, grand-daughter of my 8x great grandparents James Simonds and Mary Fowle. I live near Leominster, Mass. where John was born, and pass through there all the time on the way to my Mom's house. I pass Johnny Appleseed School, Appleseed corner store, the Appleseed Visitor Center, Appleseed State Park, etc!

Thank you for your comment! I didn't realize that there was a place in Mass. with so many Johnny Appleseed locations. He certainly made an impact on the country.
