William Hinds In 1791 Court Records

Records from the Washington District regarding William Hinds and Joseph Vance held at East Tennessee State University. Don't know if this was my William Hinds (who married Elizabeth Acklin), but Vance was a family name, too. My Wm. Hinds was known to have lived in Washington Co., Virginia; according to this site, the Washington District may have encompassed this area pre-1796. There was also a William Hinds who left a will in Knoxville, TN, and these documents may pertain to him (or to some unknown third party).
