Confederate Pension - Robert & Martha Hinds - Part II

Information contained in the Confederate Pension file of Robert Christopher Hinds of Franklin County, Tennessee. According to his file, he was part of the 41st TN Co. G. Robert Hinds was the 1st cousin of my ancestor, Union Captain James A. Rice, who was captured at Chickamauga (see blog post). Hinds & Rice were both grandchildren of William & Elizabeth (Acklin) Hinds.

Hinds' file mentioned that he "enlisted in the fall of 1862...after the capture of Donelson and serving in Mississippi until Chickamauga, serving continuously until the fight at Franklin, Tenn, in 1864....". Quoted documentation provided by pension application witness W. N. Taylor.
