Carrie Harris was the great-granddaughter of Ann (Toppan) Harris. The key to discovering this relationship was this deed between Ann Harris of Newberry, Essex Co., MA, and Benjamin Harris of Lapeer (Benjamin was Carrie's uncle).

In addition to the Harris, Lapeer, Massachusetts information in this deed, "Margaret L. Colman" cinched the connection. Ann Harris was found in the 1860 census with the Colman family and the Colmans were found in the Toppan book cited above.

Carrie (Harris) More was the wife of Charles Austin More, of Lapeer Co., Michigan, who died young. She was also the mother of Algie Gardner More who also died young. She married 2nd Cassius Clark, of Lapeer; they lived in Flint, Michigan.
