Petition of Archibald McDonnell of Charlottenburgh, in the Eastern District, Yeoman
Father, the late Allan McDonnell, resided in the province of New York, previous to the year 1775, that he served in the 84th reg't as a private soldier, until he was discharged in 1783, 4, that he drew the east half of Lot# 7 in the 2nd Concession South from River Aux Raisins in the Township of Charlottenburgh, and Lot# 20 in the 8th Concession of the Township of Kenyon, for his services.  That your petitioner, as the son of a U.E. Roll, owing to the number of persons of the same name residing in the County of Glengary...prays that said father be inserted...and designated Allan McDonnell (Gray) of Charlottenburgh.
