"His Brother Capt. McMillan resides in Glengary he was many years Captn in the Canadian Volunteers who were disbanded about the time I arrived here... .  He is not settled upon his lands & lately married a Daughter of Mr. McDonell of Greenfields who Emigrated to this Country along with himself."

The Lochaber Emigrants to Glengarry, By R.B. Fleming indicated that Lt.-Col. Alexander[3] Macmillan (Ewan2], John of Glenpean[1], born ca 1756 and died in 1823.  He married a. [Unknown]; b. Marcella MacDonell, dau. Lt.-Col. Alexander MacDonell (Greenfield) and Janet MacDonell (Aberchalder).  Born 3 February 1779.
