George's neatly kept school copy-book, made between the age of thirteen and sixteen years, still in good condition, and preserved in the Department of State, exhibits his fine penmanship, proficiency, and accuracy, as well as his aptness in mathematical demonstration and drawing of geometrical figures and plats of surveys.
