A response from the San Francisco Public Library to my inquiry about a death notice for Charles James Howard who died 4 April 1934 produced negative results. According to the library staff, there was no obituary or death notice published for Charles Howard in either the San Francisco Chronicle or the San Francisco Examiner.
Charles was my 1st cousin 4x removed. He was the son of Isaac Brock Howard and the grandson of William and Mary Howard. Isaac was the brother of my 3rd great-grandmother, Ann (Howard) Kennedy.
