There are many personal claims presented of various kinds. Petition No. 5 is a request from the impulsive Hugh McGary, who figured so prominently later in the defeat of the settlers at the battle of Blue Lick. He asks pay for his services as a messenger to Pittsburgh as bearer of a list of horses stolen by the Indians, that they may be recovered by an expedition about to start for the recovery of stolen property. Petition No. 35 is a request for bounty. [source]
