An 1835 Description Of Pickaway County

R.H. Palm Building In Circleville, Ohio

Pickaway county, through which we passed, is one of the best for farming in the State.  We passed through the whole extent of the celebrated Pickaway Plains, the best wheat ground in the western country.  We passed through Jefferson, a small town in the township of Pickaway and forming the seat of justice of the county of Pickaway.

...the people seem to have all moved off to Circleville.
