The History of Sombra Township [Lambton, Ontario, Canada]can be found online. My Camerons lived in Sombra Township, though there was no mention of the Camerons in that history.
"Originally, Sombra Township was united with Kent County for municipal purposes and its southern boundary was the south limit of the present Gore of Chatham. In 1826, despite the sparse population, Sombra separated from Kent and was united to St. Clair (now Moore) Township....".
