An Actor And A Professor - Neighbors In NY City
In 1920, actor Edouard Durand was living near Canadian native Caroline (Turner) Howard and her daughter, Clare, a Barnard College professor, at 600 West 115th Street in New York City (near Barnard).
Edouard, a native of Paris, France, was 52 years old, came to the United States in 1896. He was living with his wife, Madeline, a Canadian native, age 37, who came to the United States in 1885. Edouard died in Port Chester, New York, on July 31, 1926. His age was given as 54 at the time of death.
