Linking Text In A Spreadsheet Cell

I have found the following tip from Google helpful in organizing data:

Linked Text In A Cell is what was used in the "Evidence" category shown below.  On the Cameron, Duncan Timeline, death records, including Duncan Cameron's death record found at SeekingMichigan.org, was embedded using the following formula:  =hyperlink("url";"text")  with the text "Death Record" shown.

On other Google spreadsheets I've linked whole blog posts in the same manner.
