From the Grand Rapids Press, dated 24 November 1942:
Langworthy--Fred C. Langworthy, aged 72, passed away at his home in Muskegon early Monday morning. Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. George Griffith, Grand Rapids; one brother, Frank Langworthy, Big Rapids, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Witt Funeral Home, Muskegon. Interment in Lakeside cemetery.
