The 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City has a Bill Mauldin exhibit. Included was Charles Schultz's original Charlie Brown Veteran's Day cartoon published on November 11, 1980, that incorporated Bill Mauldin's name in the cartoon strip.
Bill Mauldin was a member of the 45th Infantry Division who became a cartoonist for the 45th Division News. His work was published in Stars and Stripes, culminating in a Pulitzer Prize for his work.
