Reverend Orville Hood (1889 - 1949), and his wife, Alice Banks Hood (1885 - 1972), were my aunt's parents. Alice Hood (1921 - 2007) was married to my uncle, William Cameron Powers (1925 - 1994).
The article below commemorated Reverend Hood's 25th anniversary as pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church in Flint, Michigan.
