NEWBERRY -- Albert Newberry, 3322 Larchmont, age 74, died Sunday, April 26, 1953, at McLaren General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 1953, from Colonial Chapel. Reigle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw St. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. body will be at the funeral home. He was born in Lapeer County, Mich., March 4, 1879, was a resident of Flint for the last 69 years. Mr. Newberry was employed at General Motors Corp. for 45 years. Surviving are: Wife, Mrs. Lottie Newberry; 4 sons, Clarence, Albert, Garfield and Howard Newberry all _____ Hartell Newberry of Lansing and Perry? Newberry of Flint; sister, Mrs. Carrie Peterman of Lansing; 9 grandchildren.
Albert Newberry's son, Garfield, married Olive Myers, who was a great-granddaughter of John and Mary Agnes (Kennedy) Powers. Olive was the granddaughter of George & Clara Estelle (Powers) Brooks and the daughter of John and Cornelia (Brooks) Myers.
