Vinnie Beamer, born in Deerfield Twp., Livingston Co., Michigan, in 1876, married Nelson J[ulius]. Ripley on 11 March 1896, in Genesee Co., Michigan. Witnesses were Alice Ripley and Fred Marsh. Vinnie's mother was named as Eveline Hamilton. Nelson's parents were James M. & Ellen (Wilson) Ripley.

the 1900 census taken in Fenton Twp., Genesee Co., Michigan, lists Nelson J., b. Sept. 1867 in Michigan; Vinnie, b. May 1876 in MI and daughter Alice, b. Dec 1897. The Ripleys had been married for 4 years and had 2 children with only one living. Nelson J. Ripley made a living as a barber.
