Lapeer, Mich. March 9 - H. M. Perkins has returned from Big Rapids where he was called on account of the illness and death of his sister, Mrs. Mariah Langworthy. Mrs. Langworthy was 88 years of age and was a former resident of Attica.
Mariah, the daughter of Hiram & Dorcas (McClary) Perkins, was born in Canada on 31 January 1828.
She married 1st Horace Burr and had two children, Eleanor and Agnes. Horace Burr was born in Vermont in 1818 and died in Lapeer County, Michigan, May 1850.

In 1860 Edward & Mariah (Perkins) Langworthy family was living in Lapeer, Lapeer Co., Michigan, with Mariah's daughter Agnes (erroneously enumerated as "Langworthy," but was actually Agnes Burr), and Langworthy children Amanda, Willard, Albert and Harvey.
In 1870 Edward & Mariah (Perkins) Langworthy were living in Davison Township, Genesee Co., Michigan, with children Amanda, Willard, Albert, Harvey, Minerva, Susan and Ophelia, as well as 5 year old granddaughter, Belle Wilder.
Maria's daughter, Agnes (Burr) Wilder Granger Van Alstine, died 25 June 1892, in Mecosta County, Michigan. She married 1st, Henry Wilder; 2nd Horace Granger and 3rd George Wilson VanAlstine.
Maria's daughter, Eleanor (Burr) Van Alstine married Abraham Van Alstine.
Daughter Amanda, wife of Charles Gray, died in Lapeer in December 1877.
Daughter Ophelia, wife of Dennis Aldrich, died 25 July 1899 in Mecosta County, Michigan.
Daughter Minerva, wife of Stephen Showers, died 26 July 1914 in Cadillac, Wexford Co., MI.

In 1880, Maria (Perkins) Burr Langworthy's mother, Docas Perkins, and her brother, Nelson Perkins,were living with William and Rosanna Topham:
