HENRY SMITH DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS He Leaves Widow And Three Grown Children

After an illness of twelve years, Henry Smith, aged fifty years, died at his home corner of Center and Scioto Streets, Sunday morning about 9 o'clock. His death was due to rheumatism and complications. He had been confined to his bed two months before death relieved him of his sufferings.

Mr. Smith had lived in Marion a number of years and was quite well known. He is survived by a widow and three children, the latter being Charles Smith of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; Hoyles Smith and Mrs. Ernest Palm of this city. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Rider and Mrs. Boyd of Prospect, and one brother who lives at Millersburg. A son was scalded to death when employed at the Erie roundhouse several years ago.

The funeral services will be held at Wesley M. E. church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. H. V. McCleary officiating. Interment will be made in the Marion cemetery.

Henry Smith was Jim's great-grandfather. He was the 10th and last child of John & Elizabeth (Myers) Smith, who immigrated from Weingarten, Germany, to Marion County, Ohio.
