Walter Garrett Obituary


Found in the Jonesboro Daily Tribune, Arkansas, published 1922-12-27:


FORMER NETTLETON
MAN DIED AT ATLANTA

Mr. Walter E. Garrett, thirty-one years of age, of 79 West Peachtree Street, died early Thursday morning at a private sanitarium.  He is survived by one brother, W. C. Garrett.  Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at... .  Interment will be in the West View cemetery.

The above clipping was taken from the Atlanta Journal, Atlanta, Ga.  The deceased was born and reared in Nettleton, and was the son of Rev. Isaac. and Mrs. Nansie E. Garrett.  A letter received by the Tribune from Mrs. W. C. Garrett of 79 West Peachtree at Atlanta, Ga., states that an autopsy showed that Mr. Garrett died from an abscessed kidney caused from an injury received when he had some ribs fractured in an accident...four months since.  Many people here and at Nettleton, remember the deceased and will regret to hear of his death.
