The Confederate Soldier Address By Gen. Bradley T. Johnson

Speeches by General Bradley T. Johnson, including this address at the June 10, 1891, dedication of a Confederate monument in Fredericksburg, Virginia:



"I yield to no one in my estimation of the genius, the courage and the valor of the great Confederate Soldiers, the greatest the English race has ever produced."

 Biography of General Bradley T. Johnson (1829-1903).  According to the New York Times, Bradley T. Johnson was a "descendant of Thomas Johnson of the Continental Congress, who nominated George Washington as Commander in Chief of the American Army, and who was the first governor of Maryland."
