GROTH- January 18, at his home, 289 Division street, Helmuth, beloved husband of Freda Groth, aged 82 years. Funeral Thursday, 2 p.m. from residence and 2:30 at Bethania Evangelical Lutheran church, corner Pulford and Meldrum.


He was enumerated as Helmuth Grote, age 43, in the 1870 census. With him were his wife, Frederika, age 40, daughter, Larina (Caroline), age 18, son Charles, age 14, son, Fred, age 11, all born in Mecklenburg (Germany) and son Helmuth, age 2, born in Michigan.
