He had been ill for two years. He was born in Melvin, Ark., Oct. 29, 1889, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Griffin; resided in Flint 27 years. He was a member of the Quinn Chapel, AME Church on Seventh St., and Pride of Flint Chapter No. 27, K of P. Surviving are Wife, Mattie, of Flint; 2 sons, mother, Mrs. Cordelia Motley; stepfather, William Motley; sister, Mrs. Frances Coleman; nieces and nephew, all of Pearlie, Ark.
