Arthur Griffin Obituary

GRIFFIN-Arthur Griffin, 829 Parkland, age 57, died Thursday, May 22, 1947, at the residence.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Watkins and James Funeral Home.  He had been ill for two years.  He was born in Melvin, Ark., Oct. 29, 1889, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Griffin; resided in Flint 27 years.  He was a member of the Quinn Chapel, AME Church on Seventh St., and Pride of Flint Chapter No. 27, K of P.  Surviving are Wife, Mattie, of Flint; 2 sons, mother, Mrs. Cordelia Motley; stepfather, William Motley; sister, Mrs. Frances Coleman; nieces and nephew, all of Pearlie, Ark.
