The Murder of Jacob Palm

From the Democratic Standard, Coshocton, Ohio, published July 28, 1893:

Murder In Circleville

A terrible tragedy occurred at Circleville, Ohio, last Friday afternoon.
William Strong*, a bartender, while crazy drunk, shot and instantly
killed
Jacob Palm, without any provocation whatsoever.

The murdered man is a cousin of our townsman, Mr. Gottlieb Palm,
and is said to have been of a quiet and inoffensive nature, possessed
of many good traits of character, which make his tragic death doubly
deplorable to a wide circle of friends.
