While researching the Manwaring family, the Dowells popped up on the research radar (the Dowell/Manwaring information can be found here). Fleda, who was born in Ohio, was the wife of Dr. Joshua Manwaring of Flint, Michigan. The following information is what I discovered while searching for "Fleda."
Fleda was Fleda Dowell, daughter of Wesley & Frances Dowell.

[Note: Fleda was not born yet in 1870]
Not only did Fleda move to Michigan, so did her brother, Benjamin B. Dowell. In fact, Benjamin lived in rural Arenac County, where my grandmother (Beatrice Cameron Powers) was born in 1900. Since I research people of Arenac County anyway, Benjamin Dowell was another piece of my Arenac puzzle.

She was the daughter of Peter Ringer and his 2nd wife, Sarah Bercaw, whom he (Peter) married on 24 June 1869 in Defiance Co., Ohio [Peter Ringer married 1st Abigail Alexander in Wayne Co., Ohio, on 25 Feb 1852].
Eva, daughter of Benjamin & Eva (Ringer) Dowell, married Ralph Cress Hannenkratt on December 26, 1918, in Hillsdale County, Michigan. Residence of both is listed as Paulding Co., Ohio. [See the Hannenkratt family tree here.]
